UltraMAT Project Open Day 2020

The UltraMAT project had its Open Day Workshop and Exhibition on the 30th January 2020 at Kaetsu Centre, Murray Edwards College, Cambridge, UK
This was an opportunity to learn about the results of the project and bring together the project partners, with experts, developers and end-users, to discuss how to speed-up commercialisation of advanced materials in sectors such as automotive and aerospace.
We had as the workshop guests, senior representatives coming from leading manufacturing and technology integration and development companies, and research institutes, such as: BAE Systems, Rolls Royce, Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, MBDA, TWI, GoodFellow, Aixtron, TMBK Partners, Technology Partners Foundation, Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Jackweld, leading patent law firms specialised in the field of advanced materials and technologies, such as: Venner Shipley LLP, Avidity IP , Reddie & Grose LLP, and the following universities: University of Cambridge, University of Sheffield and Cranfield University among others organisations.
UltraMAT Open Day 2019 – Workshop
The UltraMAT Open Day 2019 Workshop took place in Hughes Hall College in Cambridge on the 7 March 2019, with the participation of around 40 delegates from 22 UK organisations. They came from organisations such as: Rolls Royce, BAE Systems, Bitrex Ltd, TWI, Thomas Swan, GoodFellow, Cranfield University, Cambridge University, MBDA, among others. External speakers were also invited to present at the Open Day. Representatives from Haydale, TWI, and DZP Technologies gave talks.This event had exhibits from all UltraMAT Partners and from the UK funded GRAPHOSITE project.
This was a good opportunity for participants to learn about the progress of the project and about the UltraMAT Partners’ organisations. The next workshop will be taking place at the end of the project when results of the project will be made public.
